DC dropped some meow-nificent news at C2E2. It was revealed that Joëlle Jones and Laura Allred are the new creative team behind the latest Catwoman ongoing series that's returning this summer during DC's Batman panel on Saturday afternoon.

Catwoman #1 will take place after the much-anticipated wedding storyline after Batman #50. Catwoman is back on the prowl dealing and will be taking on a brand-new, as-yet-unrevealed villain, according to the DC press release.

Jones has been busy at DC working on the top-selling Batman series with Tom King and company, but she first made her mark on DC with Superman: American Alien with Max Landis and Ryan Sook. The Eisner nominee is best known for her creator-owned series Lady Killer, which was published by Dark Horse, and Allred colored the covers. Lady Killer is best described as what if Peggy Moss from Madmen was a housewife who moonlights as a psychopathic serial killer.

Catwoman #1 is expected to hit comic shops July 4.
