Activison's undaunted Call of Duty game franchise has been one of the most insanely successful video-game juggernauts in history, selling nearly 150 million units throughout 12 game installments over the past 13 years.

The latest edition, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, leaves the planet Earth and hurls players into combat missions and bombing runs set amid our own solar system.  Scheduled for release on Nov. 4, 2016, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Infinite Warfare is being composed by Modern Warfare's development house, Infinity Ward.  Gamers purchasing subsequent Special Editions of this new sci-fi adventure will also get a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, a fresh take on Call of Duty 4.

Here's the official synopsis:

Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare returns to the roots of the franchise where large-scale war and cinematic, immersive military storytelling take center stage. Prepare for a gripping war story in which players fight against the Settlement Defense Front to defend our very way of life.
