Can the Internet help find Walter Koenig's missing son?

The Twitterverse has exploded with concern for Andrew Koenig, the son of Star Trek star Walter Koenig, who was reported missing from Vancouver, Canada, last week.

Concerned fans of Andrew, who is best known for the role of "Boner" on the TV comedy Growing Pains, have made his disappearance a trending topic on Twitter: #andrewkoenigmissing.

The Vancouver Police tells TMZ that Andrew was last seen a week ago:

Koenig was supposed to be on a flight back to the United States on February 16, but didn't make it.

The family is asking that anyone with information contact that Detective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-2534.

Koenig, 41, is the son of Walter Koenig, best known as Chekov in Trek, and also is the brother-in-law of Jimmy Pardo. Sarah Silverman, Alyssa Milano, Dave Holmes and other celebrities have been tweeting and blogging about Andrew's disappearance, setting in motion the Web-wide search.
