Capt. Jack and River Song met in real life and want their own spinoff? YES!

If we can only have one TV wish, this might just be it.

So we've known that John Barrowman and Alex Kingston met because of Arrow, but there's a much juicier story about them really getting to know one another. Apparently they got to really meet in a non-business way at theater producer Cameron Mackintosh's place for a party.

How did it go? We'll let Barrowman tell the story:

We didn’t even say anything, we just looked at each other and went, 'Aaaaaahhh! My god!' We got a glass of champagne and started talking about how it would be great if River and Jack -- actually, she said River and Jack should have their own TV show. Then as we talked more, we realized that we're both born on the same day. We're both March 11 babies and we have so much in common. We like a lot of the same things and our attitude towards stuff is very, very similar. It struck a chord with us because that’s why River and Jack are very similar characters, in their attitude and their fun and their aggression, we are the same in real life -- which is really ironic.

We have been so bummed about Captain Jack not being in the Who 50th that, honestly, we were kind of inconsolable about it. But even imagining this highly unlikely spinoff has us absolutely giddy. And how funny is it that they were born on the same day?!

All right, Internet, let's make this happen. Contact the BBC -- convince them. Beg if you have to. Captain Jack Harkness and River Song as two time agents flirting with danger (and everything else) might just be the best show ever. Oh, let's be honest -- even if it was awful, we'd still watch it to death.
