Chris Evans gets somber, reflective and covered in debris for the first poster for Marvel's World War II action flick. But is this the right tone to set for the star-spangled hero?
In a word, yes. This is, after all, a hero fighting in WWII and the cloudy, murky blast-weariness of the poster gives it an almost Saving Private Ryan vibe. And there's something about the shield's placement that makes it seem almost heavy, that the responsibility of carrying it weighs on the man who does.
That's reading a lot into a poster, I know. But, hey: Sometimes you want to say more than just "rad!"
