Captain Planet loves the environment a bit too much in NSFW video

Remember that 1990-1992 animated show Captain Planet and the Planeteers or its sequel The New Adventures of Captain Planet? Actor Don Cheadle does, and he's helped make a live-action parody of the cartoon. It even has an environmental message ... which he delivers with a few four-letter words.

This NSFW video from Funny or Die stars Gillian Jacobs (Community) and Brenda Song (The Social Network), who play their early-1990s counterparts with cheesy glee. But it's Cheadle, appearing as Captain Planet, who gets the best part. As well as some, um, pelvic action.

Some of us know Cheadle as Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka War Machine in Iron Man 2. Others know him for his work in Boogie Nights, Ocean's Eleven or Crash, or even for his humanitarian work in Rwanda. But after this video, we'll primarily know him as Captain Planet.

Oh, and for a piece of geek trivia, the character of Kwame in Captain Planet and the Planeteers (who had the power of Earth) was voiced by LeVar Burton, aka Geordie La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
