Fox is setting its sights toward the vast voids of the universe in an epic new 13-part science series titled Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey.  Fans of the noble, Emmy-winning 1980 PBS series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage will remember serenely cruising with Carl in his Spaceship of the Imagination through "billions and billions" of twinkling stars.

Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane will executive-produce, teamed with Sagan’s brainy collaborators on the original 1980 project, along with executive producer/writer Ann Druyan and co-writer/astronomer Steven Soter.  The Internet's favorite astrophysicist (and meme), Neil deGrasse Tyson, will host. National Geographic intends to air encore presentations of each episode — complete with bonus footage — on Mondays (10/9c).

Check out the trailer, introduced by Dr. Tyson, and let us know if you're on board this enlightening interstellar tour.  Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey premieres on Fox at 9/8c on March 9, 2014.
