Gary Fisher, Carrie Fisher's beloved service dog, has become a celebrity of sorts ever since the world was introduced to him during the lead-up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015 in a now-famous GMA interview.

Always her faithful companion, Gary attended the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi with Carrie's former assistant Corby McCoin, who he also now lives with, and Corby said Gary still very much recognizes his mom, Carrie.

ABC7's Veronica Miracle spoke to McCoin at the premiere, who told her the French bulldog sat on her lap and his ears "perked up" every time Carrie was on screen. He also wore a Rebel flight suit and charmed fans while he was there.

Gary is so beloved by fans that he has his own social media accounts, and director Rian Johnson even based a character on him in the new film. But no matter how much we all love him, he was clearly Carrie's favorite and she his.
