Some of your favorite actors have boarded exciting genre-related projects. We've got the latest scoop on all of them! Here's what we know...

First up to the plate is USA's Bourne spinoff series, Treadstone. The show's two main leads will be portrayed by Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia 2!) and Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe), THR confirms

Serving as an in-depth look at the secret government program that turned Jason Bourne into a deadly spy/assasin, Treadstone will follow sleeper agents around the world. Irvine is set to take on the persona of one of the spies, J. Randolph Bentley. Smith, on the other hand, is Doug McKenna, an oil rig worker with dark secrets that even he doesn't know.

Irvine is known for his role as the young Sam (the older version played by Pierce Brosnan) in the Mama Mia! sequel, while Smith played Will Gorski in Netflix's Sense8.

Production on the series kicks off in the new year.

Secondly, a BBC ONE dystopian drama entitled Noughts + Crosses has found its lead actors in the form of Jack Rowman (Peaky Blinders) and newcomer Masali Baduza, reports Deadline

Slated as a six-part limited series, Noughts + Crosses adapts the YA book series by Malorie Blackman and takes place in an alternate reality where the African continent developed long before Europe and turned white people into slaves, instead of the other way around. In the 21st Century Britain of this timeline, race is a huge division in society. Rowan and Baduza will play Sephy and Callum, two star-crossed individuals of different races.

“I’m thrilled that the TV dramatisation of Noughts + Crosses has such an amazing cast to bring the story to the screen. It will be so exciting to see how the writers and actors open up the world I created, adding new breadth and detail," said Blackman.

The cast also includes Paterson Joseph (Timeless), Bonnie Mbuli (Wallander), Kike Brimah (Love Type D), Helen Baxendale (Cold Feet), Ian Hart (The Last Kingdom), Josh Dylan (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Shaun Dingwall (Goodbye Christopher Robin), Rakie Ayola (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and Jonathan Ajayi (The Drifters).

Julian Holmes (Daredevil) and Koby Adom (House of Girl) are directing the miniseries.

Noughts + Crosses is a novel that leaves an indelible impression on anyone who reads it. It’s fantastic that we have such an electric cast and crew bringing this powerful story to the screen for the first time on BBC One," said Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama.

Lastly, the supernatural thriller, Separation, has added Mamie Gummer (Castle Rock), Madeline Brewer (The Handmaid's Tale), Violet McGraw (The Haunting of Hill House) and Brian Cox (X2: X-Men United) to its cast, Deadline reports

Helmed by The Devil Inside's William Brent Bell, is the story of a divorce that mixes in supernatural elements. Per Deadline, the film is described as a combination of Kramer vs. Kramer, The Sixth Sense, and Mama.

Gummer plays Maggie, a woman recently separated from her husband, Jeff (Hitman: Agent 47's Rupert Friend) and battling for the custody of their seven-year-old daughter (McGraw). Brewer plays the family's trusted nanny, while Cox takes up the post of Maggie's imperious father.

Set for a 2019 release, Separation was written by Nick Amadeus (The Instant Talk Show) and Josh Braun (Creep).
