With all the talk about Batman, fans may be forgetting there are still a ton of cool DC characters that could be brought to life in future Man of Steel sequels. One Superman himself wants to see? Cyborg.

Though he kept the focus on Superman, director Zack Snyder still managed to sneak more than a few easter eggs into Man of Steel. One tiny one that could pay off bigtime? S.T.A.R. Labs, which star Henry Cavill hopes will lead to an introduction for half-man/half-machine DC hero Cyborg.

The studio released an interview with Cavill as part of the Man of Steel promotional material where he opened up about his love for Cyborg, and why he thinks the character would be a good fit for DC’s expanded universe. After hearing him explain it, it makes a lot of sense.

Here’s an excerpt:

“There's one obvious [reference] which is now particularly obvious because of our next installment, which is involving Batman. We see Bruce Wayne Enterprises on the satellite in space.  We also see some references to LexCorp, I actually have no further knowledge of this next story but there's a good chance Lex is going to be introduced soon or at some stage. What really intrigued me was Dr. Hamilton's connection to S.T.A.R. Labs, Cyborg I think would make a wonderful character and an incredible bridge between both superhumans and humanity in a different way than Batman. So I don't know where he's going to come in or if he's going to come in but that's one I'm particularly excited about.”

Shoot, we’ve all been so focused on the Flash, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League gang that we never really thought about how Cyborg would work on the big screen. Luckily, Cavill seems to have it all figured out — and he’s right — the character would be a perfect “bridge” to connect the fantastic back to the human.

What do you think? Should Cyborg show up in a future DC flick?
