The Television Critics Association is near the end of its summer event. During the TCA's CBS All Access panel, Kevin Williamson debuted the Tell Me a Story teaser trailer. Williamson says the show is relevant and unlike anything out there, according to Los Angeles-based TV reporter Diane Gordan's live tweets. "It's about people in NYC today. It's an emotional show at its core," Williamson reportedly said at the panel.

The psychological thriller, which is set to reimagine fairy tales but with a dark twist, is expected to hit the CBS All Access streaming service on October 31, 2018. It sounds like a genre-friendly, horror-filled spin on the procedurals CBS has made its bread and butter.

It has been an exciting weekend for CBS with the recent announcement that Sir Patrick Stewart will star in a Star Trek: Discovery spin-off. These announcements are exactly what the streaming service needs to keep with the competitive television market.

Tell Me a Story stars Billy Magnussen, Kim Cattrall, Danielle Campbell, Paul Wesley, James Wolk, and Dania Ramirez.
