Wonder Woman is coming to theaters in just a couple weeks and DC Comics is putting together a big celebration to mark the release. The publisher has declared June 3rd "Wonder Woman Day" and will be partnering with thousands of retailers worldwide to celebrate the release of the film.

According to DC Comics, retailers -- including Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, comic shops, and libraries -- will be distributing free copies of two special edition Wonder Woman books. The first will be a reprint of Wonder Woman Rebirth #1 by Greg Rucka with art by Liam Sharp. The second will be an all-ages book, featuring a chapter from the upcoming DC Super Hero Girls Vol. 3: Summer Olympus by Shea Fontana with art by Yancey Labat.

Comics writers, including Greg Rucka, Phil Jimenez, Cliff Chiang, Shea Fontana, Marc Andreyko, and Cat Staggs will also be participating, though exactly how remains to be announced. And some retailers will also have exclusive tiaras and bracelets to distribute.

On top of all the retail fun, DC's digital series DC All Access will be counting down to the event with six days of Wonder Woman content, including interviews with the cast and crew of the new movie.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya. It is directed by Patty Jenkins and will hit theaters on June 2nd.
