Ant-Man's kicking off a new ongoing series in 2015, and we've got a new look at what he's up to.
If you're the kind of Marvel fan who's been waiting years for the astonishing shrinking superhero to finally get his due, 2015 should be a really good year for you. In August, both the first Ant-Man, Hank Pym, and the second Ant-Man, Scott Lang, will hit the big screen in Ant-Man, a Marvel Studios film nearly a decade in the making. But you won't have to wait until then to get your Ant-Man fix, because next month Marvel's launching Lang into a brand-new ongoing series from writer Nick Spencer (Superior Foes of Spider-Man) and artist Ramon Rosanas (Night of the Living Deadpool). Check out Marvel's official synopsis for the series:
Scott Lang has never been the world’s best super hero. Heck, most people don’t even think he’s been the best Ant-Man – and the last guy created Ultron and joined the Masters of Evil, so that’s really saying something. But all that’s about to change when the Superior Iron Man calls up Scott with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! This is his chance to turn it all around. New city. New outlook. New Scott. Nothing is going to stop the astonishing Ant-Man! You know, until something ruins it all.
We've been anticipating this particular comic-book launch for months, and now we've got a look at three lettered pages from the first issue, along with a host of variant covers from artists like Chris Samnee and Skottie Young. In the preview pages, Lang's doing what Ant-Man does, shrinking down and using his ant pals to sneak his way into a rich man's pad, but this isn't just any old rich man. Check out the pages in the gallery below.
Ant-Man #1 hits comic-book stores in January.
