With Marvel gearing up to relaunch Iron Man with the new series Tony Stark: Iron Man this summer, the publisher has dropped a ton of new art showing off some of his new (and new-look) suits.
The new series comes from Dan Slott and Valerio Schiti, and the art is via 20 cover variants from artists Alexander Lozano and Schiti. The art shows off a ton of different suits, from fresh takes on the vintage prototype armor, the Extremis armor, the Hulkbuster suit, the Thorbuster armor, some snazzy stealth armor, a War Machine prototype, space armor and a whole lot more. Some of the armor is new to the series, while other sets are just fresh looks at some classic tech.
After putting Tony Stark on the sideline for the past year or so to clear some airspace for Riri Williams (and Doctor Doom) to keep up the legacy of Iron Man, the OG armored hero is finally back in action in the Marvel Comics world. As for Slott, he’s spent most of his tenure at Marvel working in the Spider-Man realm, and it’ll be interesting to see what he brings to Stark in the wake of some widespread creative retooling in the wake of Brian Michael Bendis’ exit to DC Comics.
The first issue of Tony Stark: Iron Man hits comic shops in June.
