Ahead of the show’s return to our TV screens in mid-January, USA has dropped the latest trailers for their sci-fi hit series Colony.

Season 2 will pick up where we left off: with Will (Lost’s Josh Holloway) still cooperating with the Collaborators and now fully aware that his wife Katie (The Walking Dead’s Sarah Wayne Callies) is working with the Resistance in an effort to get their son Charlie (Jacob Buster) back. While the first season was a bit slow to kick off (at least at first), looks like the second one will be firing on all cylinders as Will and Katie try to get their family back together. With both working for each side (albeit with the same goal), it may be easier said than done.

Set in a near-future L.A., the alien invasion (or rather alien occupation) drama series co-created and penned by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal (Hercules) also stars Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson, Amanda Righetti, Jacob Buster, Isabella Crovetti-Cramp, Alex Neustaedter and Adrian Pasdar in a recurring role. Season 2 will also introduce Tony Plana and Jessica Parker Kennedy in guest-starring roles. Here’s an official description of the premiere episode:

Will and Katie struggle to keep their family together in a changing city. Broussard returns home. Snyder gets an intriguing job offer from a mysterious organization.

Colony returns on Jan. 12 on USA. Are you looking forward to the show’s sophomore season?
