A new documentary chronicling the evolution of sci-fi, horror, and comic book fandom as recounted by some of the biggest names in these genres will be teased and discussed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19.
The documentary, From the Bridge, explores how "geek" culture went from being a fringe community into being the force behind multibillion-dollar industries, and how fanzines, magazines, and genre films inspired a new generation of storytellers to make the films, comics, and video games that currently dominate modern pop culture. From the Bridge features interviews with Stan Lee, Nichelle Nichols, Gene Simmons, Joe Dante, Tom DeSanto, Adam Nimoy, Bryan Fuller, Neal Adams, Doug Jones, Rod Roddenberry, and Howard Roffman.
