Marvel Entertainment has unleashed the first images for its super cool Variant Play Arts Kai Iron Man collectible from the creative mind of videogame giant Square Enix (you know, all those Final Fantasy games).
As you can see in the gallery below, Tony Stark’s armor has gotten a bit of a refit, with Square Enix reimagining the suit worn by our genius billionaire philanthropist playboy by adding lots more black to Iron Man’s classic red and gold color scheme in order to give the armor a “stealthier design.” The new collectible also sports a more polished, ninja-inspired look, and appears awesomely battle-worn. Here’s what Marvel had to say of the brand-new collectible:
The armor’s detailed articulation highlights several special effect pieces such as the palm repulsor rays, boot jet emissions, micro-missiles projecting from the thighs, back flaps and expandable air brakes on the legs. These additions give all you Iron Man fans the ability to structure the collectible in various actions poses such as the high flying stance or the iconic fist-to-the-ground landing position. The battle-worn paint gives off a realistic feel to assure collectors that this Iron Man can go a few rounds with the best of them.
We kinda dig it. What do you think of Square Enix’s take on Iron Man's suit of armor?
