Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 has its fans and detractors, but it's still a solid entry in the trilogy, if somewhat disappointing for all it could have been.  We present to you evidence of that unseen awesomeness in the form of one frighteningly vile costume for the Venom character that was sadly never needed.  Designed in 2004 by Hollywood FX company Frontline Design Inc., who recently created Superman's suit for Man of Steel, this startling shot is from an unused design for Topher Grace's Venom.  It's a creepy creation infused with that feral nastiness Venom is famous for.

Have a look, and yes, it DOES bite.

For Spider-Man 3, Frontline Design collaborated with three-time Academy Award-winning costume designer James Acheson to create Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man suit, transformation prosthetics for Sandman and a fully functional Venom animatronic puppet.

How do you like this sinister suit, and are you sad it never made it into the movie?

Hollywood costume and FX company, Frontline Design Inc., recently had the pleasure of designing Superman's suit for Man of Steel, but they also are known for their work on Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Come see an unused design for Topher Grace's Venom.
