We've been hearing a lot about an in-development flick based on DC Comics antihero Lobo lately, most recently some news on a possible star, but we haven't really heard much about the plot. Until now. Is this the first inkling of what we'd see in Lobo's big-screen debut?
Though producer Joel Silver let us know he had a script in hand three years ago, the first we've heard of an actual synopsis for Lobo comes not from Silver or from Warner Bros., but from movie site It's on the Grid, which updated its entry on the film with the following summary.
"Lobo, a powerful alien bounty hunter, lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc."
Well, it certainly sounds like a plausible introduction for the character, and there's the added potential from those four fugitives, who could wind up as a number of the more cosmic-minded DC Comics villains. But for now, it's worth nothing that we don't yet know where this came from, so we could wind up with something different. In fact, as recently as last week it was rumored that Lobo's first appearance would come not in his own flick, but in DC's first Justice League feature. That would make for an interesting mix, but that's not something we know for sure yet, either.
What do you think? Does this seem authentic, or is it just too simple?
