Onscreen in the Star Wars movies, Chewbacca has always been Han Solo's dutiful sidekick. But behind the scenes is another story. Turns out, the furry hero is a bit high maintenance.

Ahead of Solo: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters on May 25, Lucasfilm has released a humorous featurette featuring the Wookie acting like a total diva on set and generally behaving as if he's the center of the Star Wars universe.

Eat your heart out, Carrie Fisher!

"The problem with him is in his eyes this is his movie, so he's become a little bit big for his boots," says costar and franchise veteran Warwick Davis in the video over footage of Chewbacca fistbumping crew members and walking around like he owns the place. "Yeah, he's getting a little bit big for his station now."

"Chewy's a complete Diva," notes Donald Glover with a straight face.

Instead of fussing over a disjointed C3PO as he did in The Empire Strikes Back, in the clip, the big bipedal fur ball is the one being fussed over by a makeup artist. We also see him lounging around, and being "pretty tough on the crew" as Alden Ehrenreich, who plays the young Han Solo, observes of his costar.

But according to Solo director Ron Howard, he's not just the "big walking carpet" as Princess Leia would have us believe.

"Chewy may not always have the best temperament, but you know what? Beneath the gruff exterior is a heart of gold," says the helmer.

Which brings us to the point of the video – Disney/Lucasfilm's "Roar for Change" charitable drive benefiting UNICEF.

As Howard explains, Chewbacca is challenging fans to "roar for change" by recording and uploading their very best Chewy roar and sharing it on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #RoarforChange between May 3 and May 25.

They can even don on their best Chewbacca mask to get into the spirit of things.
And for every post, the Star Wars: Force for Change campaign will donate $1 to UNICEF USA up to $1 million to support the humanitarian organization's lifesaving work on behalf of the world's most malnourished children.

And right in time for Star Wars Day tomorrow, Disney stores are also offering "Roar in Store" discounts on all products as part of the holiday celebration.

So go ahead! Give it your best RAWRGWAWGGR!!!!!
