Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Neil Sedaka doo-wops to terrifying Satanic imagery in new trailer

Spooktober is here, which means an influx of spooky skeleton memes and a brand-new trailer for Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Set to Neil Sedaka's doo-wop-y "Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen" and peppered with (dare we say it) chilling imagery, the reboot of the popular teenage spellcaster looks like a good blend of genuine humor and scares.

Right off the bat, we were reminded of Beetlejuice, when Sabrina (played by Kiernan Shipka) kisses her boyfriend, Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), goodnight, heads inside, starts some music by just pointing her finger, and begins to jam out to some Sedaka.

Watch the trailer below:

Seemingly set in the psychedelic 1960s (or, at least, in a universe heavily influenced by it), Chilling Adventures of Sabrina focuses on our titular character when, on her 16th birthday, she must make the choice between the world of magic and the world of mortals. Being born to both, Sabrina finds it hard to commit to just one. Oh, and she's gotta fight off dark forces and monsters threatening the quaint little town of Greendale.

The supporting cast includes Lucy Davis (Hilda Spellman), Miranda Otto (Zelda Spellman), Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman), Michelle Gomez (Mary Wardell / Madam Satan), Jaz Sinclair (Rosalind Walker), and Richard Coyle (Father Blackwood).
