Daredevil is facing death in the pages of Marvel Comics right now, but in 2019 he'll have new life with a new creative team.

Writer Charles Soule, who's been writing The Man Without Fear for nearly three years at this point, is finishing up his run on Daredevil this month with artist Phil Noto in the much anticipated "Death of Daredevil" arc. That's an event in and of itself, but the Daredevil fallout doesn't stop there. Marvel Comics recently announced they'll follow that up with a limited series titled Man Without Fear, which will reflect on Matt Murdock's life as Daredevil through the lens of various people who've played a role in it. That series is set to run in January, but what we didn't know until now is what would happen next.

Marvel Comics' YouTube series Earth's Mightiest Show revealed Thursday that Daredevil will live again in February 2019 under the stewardship of writer Chip Zdarsky (Marvel Two-In-OnePeter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man) and artist Marco Checchetto (Old Man HawkeyeJourney to Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Captain Phasma).

We don't yet know what to expect from this in terms of a story, particularly since we still don't know how "Death of Daredevil" will play out in its entirety, but this is exciting news. Checchetto is a powerhouse artist, and if there's one thing we've learned from Zdarsky's Marvel work so far, it's that we can expect the unexpected.

Zdarsky, for his part, reacted to the breaking news with the understated reserve we've come to expect from a creator like him.

The new era of Daredevil begins in February. In the meantime, check out this awesome teaser art.
