Gwyneth Paltrow has been in so many MCU films, apparently they all just blur together now.
Miss Paltrow is in the midst of getting all the zest she can from an orange when she asks her fellow MCU star, Jon Favreau, what this show is for, because, as long as those checks clear, Lady GOOP sometimes just shows up to things. This is completely understandable — we all know how tired Tony made Pepper in those movies.
Favreau replies that he is going with the flow of things like when they were on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is when her utter confusion sets in because she legit doesn’t recall either of them being in this movie.
Favreau literally has to give her the Wikipedia excerpt. Her face is priceless because it looks like she sincerely forgot and then realizes she is, indeed, in this film. In her defense, she is only in Homecoming for one blink-and-you-miss-it moment, but still a pretty important scene in the movie.
It’s a reminder that even though we, the fans, do the absolute most when it comes to these movies they are still but a job for the actors and actresses. They’re human too, humans who sometimes kind of forget that they were the person to introduce Spider-Man during a huge press conference in a summer blockbuster and got fourth billing in the movie. If anything, this is a flawless flex.
