Coordinating your outfit with a red carpet companion often errs on the side of tacky, but not when that companion is a dog and Jeff Goldblum is the one doing the coordinating.
Earlier this year at a Paw Prints and Best Friends Animal Society screening event for Isle of Dogs, the cast of Wes Anderson’s stop-motion-animated movie got into the spirit of the film and the fundraising event, each holding a canine pal.
The leather jacket is a staple piece in Goldblum’s wardrobe going back to the ‘90s. Thankfully the tailoring is much slicker now than back then. A black sweater and white button-down give a relaxed professor vibe — and there is no way I would miss one of his classes. Two-tone penny loafers throw a retro twist into this timeless ensemble. These shoes are a Goldblum signature, but it looks like he is branching out with a different spin on the animal theme.
It might be a coincidence that Goldblum’s pooch matched his black and white color scheme, but they look meant to be. But wait! There is more! On Today, Goldblum in this same outfit held an even smaller pooch — photos like this should come with a warning.
As should this snap of Goldblum in super casual shorts and a white tee with his actual (and much larger) pup, Woody.
Goldblum constantly draws inspiration from Woody, saying, “I aspire to be all the things that he is.” And after reading this description of his best pal, it sounds like we all need to be a little more Woody. Woof, indeed.
