Warning: The following contains mild spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War

Throughout the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we've watched the Collector (played by Benicio del Toro) accumulate fascinating relics and trophies. As far as reputations go, his seems to be all about getting his hands on weird sh*t no matter the cost.

Speaking of weird sh*t, one of our favorite TV comedies was filled with it, and the Russo Brothers, who are at the directors' helm for Avengers: Infinity War, helped make that happen. Joe and Anthony Russo once worked on the much-beloved TV series Arrested Development—and they love sneaking easter egg references about the Bluths into the MCU. Remember that Bluth family stair car in the background of the airport fight in Captain America: Civil War?

Well, the Russos are one-upping themselves for Infinity War. In fact, one could even say they just... blue themselves.

That's right. In the scene where the half of the Guardians of the Galaxy travel to Knowhere to confront Thanos over one of the Infinity Stones, some of the Collector's recently acquired treasures can be glimpsed in the background. Among them? It's none other than our favorite never-nude (there are dozens of them! dozens!), Tobias Funke, cropped jean shorts and all.

One can't help but wonder what happened to Tobias to put him in this position. Maybe he was on the way to another Blue Man Group audition when Yondu's gang kidnapped him from Earth, figuring him for some sort of humanoid alien wandering around. Maybe Lindsay sold him off to the Collector for a little easy money considering the Bluth family's dire financial straits. Maybe Maeby (see what I did there?) decided to pull a prank on her dear old dad after that whole Mrs. Featherbottom nonsense.

Regardless, he's not in a great place if this Infinity War scene is anything to go by. I imagine he's probably been doing a lot of open sobbing in his glass cage.
