Chris Evans may be saying goodbye to Captain America, prompting heartfelt responses from fans and fellow actors alike, but with Marvel’s Avengers 4 still on the way he’s not done discussing the character quite yet.
Evans revealed a few interesting things when speaking at Chicago’s ACE Comic Con over the weekend, including the final line he filmed while working on Avengers 4. According to ComicBook.com, the actor was asked about his last line at a panel and his response was that the line “was something really stupid.” It was for a scene with Paul Rudd, though the other actor wasn’t there.
“It was something really dumb. Which I also probably can’t give away,” he said.
Since it was during reshoots, Evans went on to explain that you do “little picks and pops, and it’s just little things that they need.” The line wasn’t memorable to Evans, but the day was. Who knows when in the movie we’ll hear that final filmed line, but at least Evans wasn’t saying his last line in the entire film was stupid. Otherwise we’d be worried.
Evans discussed more about his time as the iconic superhero during the panel. CBR noted that The Marvel Report was at the event and tweeted that Evans said if he had to choose one of Captain America’s suits to wear every day for the rest of his life, it would be the stealth suit from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It’s something he’s mentioned before, so the suit certainly made an impression. He shared some other thoughts as well.
As for the line Evans is talking about, we’ll just have to see if we can figure out which one it is when Avengers 4 is released May 4, 2019.
