Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson travel, tease from Men in Black to Avengers 4 sets

Avengers 4 is going to be one wild ride as the surviving superheroes we’ve already met team up with Captain Marvel to deal with the havoc wrought by Thanos’ snap. The special effects are already blowing our minds while the Russos tease us with puzzling hints about the very TITLE of the film. So anything we can nail down about the movie is a step in calming nerves that have been frayed from the neverending speculation. Thanks to Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, we’re moving in the right direction.

The Thor and Valkyrie portrayers recently travelled from the set of the new Men in Black film, which they star in, to that of Avengers 4 in Atlanta, which...well, we don’t really know who stars in. But we do know that they’re there, thanks mostly to The Wrap, which captured screenshots of Hemsworth, Thompson, and stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton’s Instagram stories.

A little detective work shows that the trio went from London to Atlanta (Hemsworth saying that “we’re going to Atlanta for some ‘Avengers’ additional photography”), with Hemsworth posting a picture with Hanton outside a jet and Thompson sharing a similar picture with Hemsworth with the text “Bye London.” Then all three popped up in Atlanta a few hours later.

Valkyrie’s definitely alive post-snap, so it makes sense that she’d be in the new film, but did she accompany Hemsworth to take part in the additional shooting, or was it simply some time to hang out with her multi-film co-star? Hemsworth, at least, has a history of social media teasing — as you can see with a spinning video of the MiB set below — but with all the corroboration, it seems likely that the pair will both be in Avengers 4 — even with Valkyrie missing out on Infinity War.

Will Thor team up with the surviving Asgardians to raise some hell? The case is much stronger now than it was a while ago, but not quite as strong as it’ll be when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
