There's a rumor out there concerning a cameo in Man of Steel that just may blow your mind.

The rumor started innocuously enough.  There was the possibility that someone from a previous Superman film might be making an appearance.  Logic dictates that you run down all the obvious choices, like Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, Gene Hackman and Margot Kidder.  But according to the rumor, fans were told to think outside of the box, which throws logical thinking right out the window.

Who could it be?  One Spanish Superman fan-site did some digging and came up with a brilliant theory.  First, take a look at this image from filming and take extra care to squint your eyes at the man the arrow is pointing toward.

Does something seem odd about him?  He appears to be wearing a rather old-fashioned suit while being surrounded by people in modern dress.  But there's also something familiar about the suit.  Could it be?

Yes, it looks suspiciously like a man dressed as Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent.  Take this with a grain of salt, but it's looking very possible that the out-of-the-box-thinking cameo may be a CGI Christopher Reeve.  If handled properly, that's very exciting and a lovely homage to the man who, for so many of us, has been and always will be Superman.
