The CW has released a batch of brand-new stills from the first two episodes of Supergirl's second season, featuring our first official look at Tyler Hoechlin as everyone’s favorite mild-mannered reporter, Clark Kent (Yes, I mean Clark Kent. We've already had our first official look at Supes). A first official promo has also been released, in which Supergirl is channeling her very best impression of Henry Cavill's Man of Steel.
Moving from CBS to The CW (with the production also moving from L.A. to Vancouver) for its sophomore season, Supergirl will introduce Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) famous cousin Superman right off the bat with the premiere episode, titled “The Adventures of Supergirl,” followed by “The Last Children of Krypton.”
The new pics also give us our first look at Lena Luthor (Merlin's Katie McGrath), sister of Lex Luthor, as well as featuring the regular cast: Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Jeremy L. Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, aka J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant is now a recurring character.
Now, in Season Two, Kara (Melissa Benoist) has left the safety of being Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) assistant in order to figure out what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl she continues to work at the DEO., protecting the citizens of National City and searching for Jeremiah (Dean Cain) and Cadmus. Along the way, she will team up with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) to battle new villains, as she strives to balance her personal life with her life as a superhero.
