Take a break from catching flies with your chopsticks, because here's the third teaser trailer for Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid reboot series heading straight to YouTube Red. It gives us some fresh footage of Ralph Macchio reprising the role of Daniel, alongside William Zabka as Johnny, his childhood bully.

But after watching Daniel sort of smart-aleck his way around the Lexus dealership where he now works, including remaining more than a little exultant about his underdog victory in the original Karate Kid tourney all those years ago, we’re left wondering if YouTube doesn’t have some role-reversing intrigue in mind between Cobra Kai’s two main characters.

Take a peek and see what you make of it all:

Daniel’s obviously not cool with the idea that Johnny is reviving the Cobra Kai name to instruct a new flock of students, even though one of them — a local store clerk named Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) — is taking up martial arts to defend himself from bullies. Isn’t that a cause Daniel should be able to get behind?

For his part, Daniel may be trying to raise his own daughter Samantha (Mary Mouser) in the unconventional ways of his departed sensei, Mr. Miyagi (the late Pat Morita). Things happen fast in the clip, so we’ll have to wait and see whether we’re connecting the right dots.

We’re three trailers in, and YouTube still hasn’t revealed a release date for Cobra Kai. For now, the best thing we can do is practice some of that famous patience that Mr. Miyagi was so fond of — after all, it did help him get a ton of free labor out of Daniel, along with a spiffy, spruced-up house.

Whom are you rooting for this time around —the bully or the underdog? For that matter, do we really even know which is which? Share your theories, or, better yet, your hopes for Cobra Kai in the comments. Then get back out there and keep practicing those crane kicks.
