In addition to putting together plans for Dark Knight III: The Master Race, Frank Miller has apparently been busy working on another one of his iconic franchises.

While speaking at New York Comic-Con, Miller confirmed he’s working on a “love story” set within his beloved Sin City comic universe. Here’s what he could say about the project, and where it fits in his current workflow:

“My next book is set, I'm working on it now, in fact. It's a Sin City, a love story set against the backdrop of World War II.”

Sadly, he didn’t drop many details about the plot, though he did have a little geek-out moment when asked who would win in a fight between Batman and Sin City character Marv: “The fight's already over. Marv's sitting at the bar having a drink.” Well played.

Though the latest Sin City flick was basically a box-office disaster, the comic saga remains a fantastic work in Miller’s catalog. No matter what the new story turns out to be, we’re glad to see him telling a fresh story in that world once again.

What would you like to see from a new Sin City story?
