Marvel goes back to the glory days of Star Wars and Colleen Doran adapts Neil Gaiman's fairy tale retelling of Snow White for Dark Horse in our latest comics roundup.

First up, Marvel Comics is lining up an all-new nine-issue run of Star Wars titled Star Wars: Age of Rebellion. Set during the days of the classic trilogy, eight of the titles will be a one-shot story centered on an iconic character, including Princess Leia, Grand Moff Tarkin, and Lando Calrissian. Greg Pak will write each of the eight issues, with Chris Sprouse handling the art for the heroes' stories and Marc Laming for the villains'.

The ninth issue, Age of Rebellion Special #1, will be a collection of short stories from across the classic trilogy timeline which promises to cast the characters you know in an all-new light. Marc Guggenheim and Si Spurrier will pen the stories, along with Jon Adams, who's pulling double duty as an artist alongside Caspar Wijngaard and Andrea Broccardo.

Next up, illustrator Colleen Doran is bringing Neil Gaiman's Snow, Glass, Apples to the pages of Dark Horse Comics, per a report from Paste Magazine. Doran is no stranger to Gaiman's work, having worked as an illustrator on Gaiman's beloved Sandman series as well as adapting and illustrating his story Troll Bridge.

Snow, Glass, Apples is a retelling of the classic fairy tale Snow White, except this time the queen isn't evil, but she's bound and determined to stop her wicked stepdaughter from living happily ever after.

This is another title added to the growing number of Neil Gaiman adaptations being developed by Dark Horse as part of their ambitious line of graphic novels known as The Sandman Universe. The series, which kicked off back in August, will continue to tell new and exciting tales within the world of The Dreaming.

Snow, Glass, Apples doesn't go on sale until Aug. 7 of this year, but it is currently available for pre-order.
