Man Without Fear explores a world without Daredevil, with a whole bunch of new covers; supervillain War-Monger gets her own miniseries with The Forgotten Queen; and the first round of young adult titles are revealed by Vault Comics — all in our latest comics roundup.
First up, Marvel Comics has released a look at the upcoming Man Without Fear. The new series, which follows life in Hell's Kitchen following the events of Death of Daredevil, will bring together people from Matt Murdock's life, including former nemeses and former lovers. Of course, Wilson Fisk, the former Kingpin of Crime (and current mayor of New York) will factor in as well.
The series is written by Jed Mackay, with art by Danilo Beyrouth. Kyle Hotz did the art for the covers, the first five of which Marvel has released to the public (see gallery below). Man Without Fear #1 will go on sale Jan. 2.
Next, Valiant Comics is giving War-Monger her own miniseries, per The Hollywood Reporter. The supervillain, who first appeared in Valiant's Unity #18, will be the focus of the new miniseries The Forgotten Queen. The series will take place across several eras of her life, from her origins as a witch during the Mongol Empire to her reign as an agent of chaos and conflict.
It will be the first Valiant series written by Tini Howard with art by Amilcar Pinna. Valient's executive editor Joe Illidge said that War-Monger will play a significant role in future comic storylines, and teases that the series "is just the tip of the iceberg of what Valiant has planned for 2019, during which we will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of when Valiant Comics was founded in 1989."
The series will launch in February, but if you're going to North Carolina Comicon this weekend, you can pick up an exclusive poster by Pinna while chatting with Howard.

Finally, Vault Comics has revealed the first three young adult titles for its new imprint, Myriad. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the creative teams brought aboard will range from newcomers to Eisner Award winners.
The three titles are Wrassle Castle from writers Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover about a young girl who aspires to be a wrestler; the parasitic tale of romance, Bonding, by Matthew Erman and Emily Pearson; and Unfinished Corner, penned by Dani Colman and rooted in old Jewish mythology about a corner of the universe God never finished building.
The three titles will be released across 2019 and 2020.
