It’s been a long, long time coming. After delays, showrunner shakeups and having the episode order trimmed to 13—NBC’s Community is (almost) back.
Yes, it’s been nearly 10 months since we’ve had any new Community on the small screen. In that time the network has parted ways with show creator Dan Harmon, and fans have been anxiously waiting to see if the fourth season would maintain the quirky charm that Harmon infused into its very core.
Judging by this new two-minute trailer, it looks like replacement showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port have no plans to make the show too mainstream. It looks as weirdly awesome as ever, and chock-full of more pop-culture touchstones. From The Hunger Games to Star Wars to beloved Doctor Who spoof Inspector Spacetime, it’s all here.
Check out the new trailer below and get ready for the return of Community this Thursday, Feb. 7:
Do you plan on sticking with the series post-Harmon? Do you think it can maintain the vibe that made it so fun the past three years?
