A few months back, we reported on a photographer who helped his grandmother with her depression by dressing her up as a superhero and making her pinup-worthy. Now photographer Sacha Goldberger is back, bringing a new hero to the masses: a grandfather (who goes by the name Dark Papouka) with serious presence who happens to be a concentration camp survivor.

According to MyModernNet:

"I met Dark Papouka two years ago," Goldberger tells us. "I was doing research for a subject about the Holocaust. He had been in a camp when he was a child. We become very close. He is part of the French organization, 'Sons and Daughters of Jewish Deportees from France'" He makes testimonies about the Holocaust in schools. He was a little depressed the first time I met him."

Goldberger helped him recover from his depression by getting him an assignment with a senior modeling agency. And then the photographer put him to work on his own project and continuing the superhero series that he started with his grandmother.

In these photos, Dark Papouka spends time with Darth Vader. Of course, the "story," as it were, has a twist ending.

Note: For some more entertainment, check out Golberger's website, narrated by his grandma. It's guaranteed to make you smile.
