In a world where you can’t kill Community — even by canceling it and forcing it online — you didn’t think they could really stop the crew of the Red Dwarf, did you?

What Culture is reporting that a new season of the British sci-fi comedy classic is officially on the way, slated to air on the Dave network in the autumn of 2015. The confirmation reportedly came at the recent Sci-Fi Scarborough convention, where the cast and crew told fans the new season is definitely on the way.

After Red Dwarf X in 2012, fans have been wondering if we’d ever get more adventures from the zany crew. Word broke a while back that new scripts were being written, and cast members Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn said the new season will start shooting in October 2014.

It’s crazy to think this little, wacky show that first kicked off 26 years ago is still going strong — albeit at a slightly smaller network in recent years. Dave first dabbled in bringing the series back in 2008, and once they realized the fans were still sticking around all these years later, they’ve slowly kept it going one season at a time.

So, while we wait until these episode to actually arrive next year, take solace in the fact that Rimmer, Lister, Kryten and Cat are definitely on the way back.
