Many often joke that Tinseltown is devoid of any soul or morality. Well, a new animated film from Warner Brothers will give an entirely new meaning to that sentiment.
In Constantine: City of Demons — The Movie, the demons of Hell literally invade Los Angeles and it's up to everyone's favorite occult detective (voiced by Matt Ryan per usual) to put a stop to the spreading infection of evil. He's also gotta bring Chas' daughter, Trish, out of a supernatural coma — kinda tricky since her soul is trapped in the bowels of the Underworld, bound there by the demon known as Beroul.
SYFY WIRE has an exclusive first look at the trailer:
Luckily, Constantine's also got an ally in the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli. All three are ready to help John face his biggest enemy, Nergal, a fallen god whose penchant for evil is second only to that of Satan. Jeez, Constantine also gives new meaning to the phrase "battling your demons."
Keep an eye out for the movie (based on the web series of the same name) when it finally possesses Blu-ray and Digital in October. Unlike the web series, this feature-length film, clocking in at 90 minutes, contains over an hour of never-before-seen content. And did we mention it's R-rated?!
