A new teaser trailer for Continuum’s final season has been released, and the future is (literally) coming back to haunt Kiera and Alec.

The Syfy (Disclosure: Corporate owner of BlastrEd.) series has grown into one of the smartest time-travel shows this side of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and though it took a while to arrive, the show’s final season is almost here. Considering this six-episode run is aiming to wrap up the ambitious, twisty time-travel saga — it seems to be packed with all kinds of awesome stuff.

This new clip is framed around a conversation with Kiera (Rachel Nichols) and Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen) as they discuss how the decisions they make seem to change the future. Kiera has faith they can fix it, but Alec seems to be wavering. This is a show that has always maintained there are no “right” or “wrong” answers, and it seems Season 4 will carry that thesis to its confusion.

We get some peeks at several alternate futures, plus some of the alt-future soldiers who showed up in the season finale. There doesn’t seem to be any obvious way to wrap this show up, so we’re fascinated to see what series creator Simon Barry has come up with. No pressure.
