Could Enterprise return with the help of Netflix? Brannon Braga thinks so!

The first season of Enterprise just came out on Blu-ray, but could it return for more?

Let's be honest -- Enterprise is not the most beloved series of Star Trek. But by the end of its run, we were sad to see it go. It had finally hit its stride, only to be relegated to the holodeck. Terribly unjust, if you ask us.

If you've been looking longingly at how shows like Arrested Development and Veronica Mars have been coming back through alternate means and wondering, "Where are you, Enterprise season five?", you are not alone. Showrunner Brannon Braga feels your hurt, too. He longs for more, and he thinks Netflix might be the solution. But it's all in our fan hands.

The best possible thing the fans could do is, if they want to see another season of Enterprise, is watch it on Netflix … My neighbor produces Arrested Development, and they’re making a new season of Arrested Development. I recall him telling me that it’s because for that show, they know they’re gonna get… they have data! They know a certain number of people are going to watch that show.  I’ve heard rumors in town that the CBS show Jericho might get another season, because the numbers on Netflix are big! Watch Enterprise!

Now, admittedly, this is a long shot. The cost of rebuilding the Enterprise sets alone would be astronomical. Still, if there's money to be made ... there are always possibilities, Spock said. And if Genesis is indeed life from death, then ... wait. No. Sorry, that's Wrath of Khan. But the point still stands! More Enterprise could be very cool indeed. So if it's been a while since you've seen the show (or if you've never seen it before), plop yourself down on the couch and give it a watch.
