After seven years of waiting since Crackdown 2, fans now know when they'll finally be able to play the next chapter of their superhero adventure in Crackdown 3. In a new trailer released at Microsoft's Xbox E3 2017 briefing, we saw brand-new gameplay, along with a release date of November 7, 2017, the launch day of the new Xbox One X, formerly known as "Project Scorpio," the new 4K gaming console.

The trailer also revealed that actor Terry Crews will star in the game as Commander Jaxon, head of the super-powered Agents in the sequel. The actor, known primarily for his hilarious Old Spice commercials and his starring turn in the Fox comedy Brooklyn 99, opens up the trailer with some real talk for incoming agents.

"Forget dropping bombs. We're dropping YOU!" he says with maniacal laughter.

From there, it goes directly into the signature gameplay, a mix of superpowers and run-and-gun third-person shooter, that has made the franchise a fan favorite and made the seven-year wait so difficult for those fans.

Crackdown 3 hits Xbox One, with enhanced 4K gameplay on the Xbox One X, and PC on November 7, 2017.
