The folks at NASA have had the Curiosity Rover kicking around the surface of Mars for a few years now, and along the way they’ve accumulated a ton of data and awesome pics. Now they’ve created a simulator so you can ride along on the Red Planet joyride.

Dubbed “Experience Curiosity,” the ambitious simulator project tracks the rover’s journey and lets a user poke around the barren landscape like you’re really there. You can switch between the various cameras and take advantage of all those various pics. It's nice to see NASA take advantage of all the cool Mars kit they've put together. Considering it’ll probably be a decade or so until we have humans up there for a legit stroll, this might be the closest we can get for a while.

The simulator is loaded with cool features. Click here to dig in and take it for a spin.
