Do you remember The CW's Amazon pilot? It was in development for ages, and supposed to be their adaptation of Wonder Woman. Well, we've got some bad news to report. The show is officially dead. Network boss Mark Pedowitz has confirmed that they've passed on the pilot.

While at the Winter TCA (Television Critics Association) Tour, Pedowitz discussed multiple superhero properties such as Arrow, The Flash and Amazon. The latter of which is no longer on the network's radar. He revealed, "We did not go forward with it." This is a good and bad thing. It's bad because we won't get the show, but it's good because they actually care about its quality.

"It all depends on the script," he continued. "We were very careful with Arrow, and we're being very careful with Flash. These are iconic characters, so we're going to be very careful with Wonder Woman. You only get one shot before you get bit." And he's absolutely right. Until they crack the code, we'll have to enjoy WB's big-screen version instead.

Are you shocked The CW passed on Amazon?
