The Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), meeting Brother of the Night’s Watch Jon Snow on Game of Thrones? Could it be? Might be. Not exactly. But we’ve three very cool pictures that has Jon exactly where Dany wants him to be.
The three new gorgeous photos come from Entertainment Weekly via their Facebook page.
The first one (seen above) is the cover for this week's upcoming Entertainment Weekly issue and features your everyday "we're on the cover of a mag pose."
The second pic has Emilia Clarke ("I am the Mother of Dragons") at play with her co-star Kit Harington (Erm, just Jon Snow) and oh my, is that a huge sword or is Dany just happy to see him? Judging from how they’re goofing off, we’ll go with the happy. Very, very happy.
The third pic has former Downton Abbey actress Rose Leslie in the role of the Wildling Ygritte ("You know nothing, Jon Snow") wielding her bow and arrow and looking like a perfect model while also looking like she could give The Lord of the Ring's resident Elf Legolas a run for his mithril.
Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss had a few things to say about the upcoming third season. “Like the book, it builds,” Benioff says. “Once the season kicks into gear, we’ve already seen stuff that makes me think it will be the best one yet. And it ought to be.”
Weiss adds “There’s major massive events happening like I don’t think we’ve ever had before.” There's one particular book “Scene Which Shall Not Be Named,” as Benioff called it, that left the Thrones team devastated. “I’ve never seen the crew so emotional,” Benioff says. “If the scene has that effect on the people making it who know what’s coming, if they’re that overpowered, I think it’s going to have an overwhelming effect on people watching it.”
