Daredevil Season 3 arrives this Friday, and this time that doesn't just mean the return of Matt Murdock. It means the return of suit-wearing, master planning supervillain Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime.
Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) never entirely went away, of course, but as the teasers for Season 3 have shown us, he's back in a big way this time around, trading orange prison attire for his trademark white suit and working to take control of New York City once again. To do that, he'll form a deadly alliance with Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), who'll make his debut this season, but never forget the Kingpin is behind it all.
To get us all even more excited about Fisk's return to power, Netflix just dropped a new Season 3 featurette focused on the character's return, which D'Onofrio promises is "not going to be pretty."
“It paves the way into Kingpin taking the city back over again," D'Onofrio said when discussing Fisk's release from prison and scheme to bring down Daredevil (Charlie Cox) through a master scheme that includes a vigilante imposter (the aforementioned Bullseye). Fisk clearly has big plans for the future of his enterprises, and while we may be rooting for the hero, Cox teased that Matt Murdock definitely has the most to lose.
“The driving force behind everything this season is this idea that this man must be stopped once and for all, even if it costs me my everlasting soul," Cox said.
