It's been an exciting couple of days for fans of Netflix's Daredevil series. Marvel's first show on the streaming giant — and its first hit there — has been basically silent for over two years since Season 2 wrapped in 2016. Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist have all continued apace on the streaming service since then, but our lawyer-for-justice has been largely out of the spotlight.
However, those who suspected that a scheduled New York Comic Con panel (featuring stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, and Joanna Whalley) was a hint that the show was about to return were completely on point. Yesterday saw the release of a Daredevil teaser poster inscribed "Let there be darkness," and today brought even more goodies: a first look at Season 3, and a release date.
Here's the first look:
The vigilante returns to Hell's Kitchen Oct. 19. Nice. And, here are those posters for your further Man Without Fear Enjoyment.
And, yesterday's tease:
Daredevil has been promising a darker third season, and looks like they're off to the races on delivering on that promise. The season is reported to be somewhat based on the 1980's "Born Again" storyline of the comic book, and supposedly takes place after the events of the 2017 The Defenders miniseries.
Look for more info at Daredevil's NYCC panel on Oct. 6 at 1:45 p.m., and stay tuned to SYFY WIRE for all the latest from that panel and from the con!
