Well, that didn't take long. After an innocent Twitter post from Daredevil reboot director David Slade made the rounds saying Josh Hartnett could be the next Matt Murdock, the man himself has now chimed back in. So what does Slade have to say?
Apparently, when Slade responded "You and me both" to a follower's statement that they'd like to see more movement on Daredevil, and Hartnett in the title role, he was ony commenting on the movie—not the bit of dream casting.
Here's his response:
Yep, nope, Josh Hartnet is not being discussed or anyone else for DD that was just some wishful thinking, we are not at casting stage.— DAVID A SLADE (@DAVID_A_SLADE) June 19, 2012
But, Slade did go on to say that he loved working with Hartnett on 30 Days of Night—so if you liked the idea, keep your fingers crossed.
I had the pleasure of working with Josh on 30 Days, an excellent and under rated actor and a wonderful human being.— DAVID A SLADE (@DAVID_A_SLADE) June 19, 2012
Who do you think would make a good Daredevil?
