Everybody say cheese! Last night, director David Ayer tweeted  a photo featuring Suicide Squad star Jared Leto. Prior to this, Ayer posted a picture of the full cast following their table read. Most of the gang was there, but Leto was nowhere to be found. We assumed it was because Ayer wanted the actor's new look to remain a mystery. But he's finally lifted the veil in an homage to one of the Joker's most popular stories (Batman: The Killing Joke).

Ayer tweeted the image with the caption "#WhereIsJared #SuicideSquad." Gone are the days of Leto's long, Jesus-like hair. He's now sporting a short green 'do that's more carny than rockstar. The only thing that could make this picture better is the Joker's signature smile. But we're sure we'll see that soon enough. Until then, check out the photo below:

The Suicide Squad also stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach and Scott Eastwood.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters Aug. 5.

What do you think of Leto's look? Is he going in the right direction?
