David Lynch's weird department store windows remind us of Dune

We wish we were on the other side of the Atlantic right now, because director David Lynch's latest dreamlike masterpiece isn't appearing on movie screens, but instead only in the windows of the French department store Galeries Lafayette du Boulevard Haussmann.

Not only is the installation, which Lynch titled "Machine-Abstraction-Women," entertainingly bizarre in its own right, but it also (to us, at least) conjures up memories of some of his memorable movies.

The window above, for example, immediately took us back to that weird statue on the surface of Giedi Prime from Dune, below.
