David Tennant takes off his shirt and tells how to kill vampires

Let's be honest: A lot of people want to see the upcoming Fright Night remake because a certain former Doctor Who star happens to be in it. And the studio clearly knows that, too, because they've just released a very cool clip featuring David Tennant as Peter Vincent. Shirtless. A lot.

The clip shows young Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) seeking guidance—by pretending to be a reporter from The Vegas Sun (you got to love that)—on how to kill vampires from Criss Angel look-alike Vegas illusionist Peter Vincent (Tennant).

Of course, young Charlie knows Vincent's act is all about illusion, but that doesn't stop him from asking. And the leather-clad Vincent does his "very best" to help.

(We don't know about you, but we have a strange feeling the phrase "I'm gonna pop your cherry," uttered by Tennant in the clip, will probably find its way into hundreds of online fan-fics and, worse, become a lot of people's cell-phone ringtone ...)

Have a look.

So what do you think of the clip?

Director Craig Gillespie's Fright Night remake will hit theatres on Aug. 19.
