The Day the Earth Stood Still Is Number One With $31M

We guess Keanu Reeves can still make the Earth move for audiences: His SF remake The Day the Earth Stood Still made its debut as the Dec. 12 weekend's top movie, taking in $31 million domestically, the Associated Press reported. The 20th Century Fox release also has hauled in $39 million in 90 overseas markets, for a worldwide total of $70 million.
